In April 2020, ARS-T plans to hold a seminar-week in China. Our goal is to get acquainted with the urban structure of 4 cities: Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Hong Kong. We also will try to understand the roots of unprecedented pace of construction in China.
In July 2019, ARS-T organized an architectural workshop in northwest Russia. This time it was devoted to changes in the planning structure morphology of settlements from the 17th to the 20th century in the territory of Karelia and the Murmansk region.
In October 2020, our educational program was devoted to architectural monuments of Ethiopia, as well as to comparison of various architectural and urban aspects of the central-north and eastern parts of this ancient country. In addition, we studied some modern residential complexes in Addis Ababa.
In July 2018, ARS-T organized an architectural workshop in central Russia. We studied the dependence of the planning structure of Orthodox monasteries on the terrain and the socio-cultural influences of the political, economic, demographic, military environment.
In September 2017, ARS-T organized an introductory program for the partner-architects of the of the Swiss Bureau POOL architects in Helsinki, Vyborg and St. Petersburg
In April 2017, ARS-T organized an architectural study tour to Morocco. For 2 weeks in the country, we became acquainted with both traditional Arabic and Berber urban architecture and the structure of the medieval cities of Morocco. Slovenia is a country of new interest for European architects. Last two decades Slovenia got many interesting pieces of contemporary architecture as well as urban planning and small design. During only 4 days of the seminar-week we have visited the capital city – Ljubljana, mountain part, Eastern Slovenia and Slovenian sea-side.
At the end of September 2016, an on-site architectural seminar was organized in Northwest Russia and Northern Norway. We visited the most significant, in terms of Northern architecture, places of this region: Vyborg, Sortavala, Petrozavodsk, Kizhi, Solovki, Murmansk, Kirkenes and Vardø.
